Kia ora! My name is Dora, and I am a highly experienced specialist working hands on with children living with motor delays to achieve milestones. I have 20 years of practice, 16 of which have been spent here in New Zealand. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working closely with children and families living with motor disabilities, which has given me deep insight into the unique challenges they face. Over the years, I have observed an increasing need for intensive and alternative physical therapies that are often unavailable in New Zealand, and it’s this gap that I am passionate about addressing.
In 2005, I graduated as a Conductor from Hungary, after completing a rigorous four-year training program in Conductive Education. This comprehensive program involved both theoretical learning and hands-on practice with children and adults living with neurological conditions such as cerebral palsy, movement disorders, and developmental delays.
At the end of the training, I passed a state exam to qualify as a Conductor—Teacher who are specifically trained to help people with damage to the central nervous system learn how to overcome daily challenges. Conductive Education is a holistic, integrated pedagogical system that empowers individuals to achieve greater independence and participate more fully in life.
In addition to Conductive Education, I have spent the last decade studying and applying a variety of alternative therapies to support my clients' development.
These include DMI Therapy (Dynamic Movement Intervention), TASES (Task-specific Electric Stimulation), Infant Massage (I am a registered Infant Massage Instructor), Hydrotherapy, and Vibration Therapy.
I am deeply committed to providing proven, intensive therapies that support early intervention and give children the best start in life. My goal is to offer these valuable services to families who are seeking personalised, effective, and holistic approaches to their children's care and development.
If you are looking for a dedicated professional who understands the unique needs of children with motor disabilities, I would be honoured to work with you and your family.
